What to Do When Quitting Becomes an Option?
Life is so unpredictable. For many, things do not go as planned. With life’s many ups and downs, how does one carry on?
Sheila Viesca, TalkShop CEO explains, “We have been taught as children to persist until success is at hand. But people, priorities, and situations change. When a relationship, a job, or a goal no longer fits into your priorities, it is time to find your center and weigh things out. Whetherit is to stick it out with the present or set new directions, take care of yourself, value your worth.” She offers these suggestions when you reach the crossroads:
1. Keep your mind focused on what is most important to you. Be energized by your dream.
2. Take the day off from the conflict. Mull over it - how far you have come versus what lies ahead with change.
3. Enjoy the silence as you ponder.
4. Don’t focus on the conflict. Think of solutions/options.
5. Refresh your batteries.
“Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try.” - Thomas A. Edison
